Thein Zaw Oo is a Research Associate at IPA Myanmar. He works on the External Evaluation for Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Program (DEPP) to assess the extent to which DEPP has provided an efficient and effective approach to strengthening response capacity. Previously, he worked as Field Manager to measure the impact of unconditional cash transfers for mothers on child malnutrition and other outcomes and also as Research Associate to explore if and how mobile technology can be harnessed to promote maternal health. Before IPA, he had a range of experiences of humanitarian and development sectors in international non-profit organizations for more than 6 years in Myanmar. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from University of Nursing in Yangon, Myanmar.
