Raissa is a doctoral student in the Public Policy Program at the Harvard Kennedy School. She holds a BA in Economics from McGill University, and an MSc in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford. Prior to joining Harvard she worked for the Jameel Poverty Action lab in South Africa and Chile and for Innovations for Poverty Action in Kenya. Her research interests are at the intersection of development economics, labor economics and political economy. She is specifically interested in understanding potential inefficiencies in public service delivery and the role of local institutions on economic outcomes.
