Nate Barker is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Yale University. His work focuses primarily on social protection programs and the link between mental health and economic development. He previously worked at IPA as a Research Analyst and a Research Coordinator. Before IPA, he worked on an evaluation of a cash transfer program in Kenya with The BOMA Project through Princeton in Africa, and interned for Fundación Nuevo Norte, a development consulting NGO based in Bolivia. He has a BA in International Economics with a certificate in International Development from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
