Moussa P. Blimpo is an Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist for the Africa Region (AFRCE) and in the DEC's Development Policy Department (DECDP) at the World Bank. Prior to this position, he was an Assistant Professor of Economics and International Studies at the University of Oklahoma (2012-2015). He completed his Ph.D. in Economics from New York University in 2010 and spent two years as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University's Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). His research interests focus on a wide range of policy relevant questions on African economies. He is the founding director of the Center for Research and Opinion Polls (CROP), a think tank in Togo that he led between 2011 and 2015. He was born and grew up in Togo.
