Juan Pablo Mesa is a Research Coordinator for IPA Colombia, where he coordinates a portfolio of research projects focused on understanding and reducing organized crime in Medellín. He has experience working at the intersection of research and public policy, using experimental methods of evaluating programs and policies, as well as qualitative research techniques such as focus groups and in-depth interviews. He holds a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Los Andes and a Bachelor's in Political Science from the University of EAFIT.
