Assistant Professor
University of Pennsylvania

I am an assistant professor at the political science department at the University of Pennsylvania. I specialize in comparative politics, with a regional focus on Africa and the Middle East.

In my work I apply a variety of methods, including field and lab experiments and social network analysis, to study political behavior, conflict and political economy of development more generally.

Before coming to Penn I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University and a Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Development Strategies at Columbia University.
