Elwyn Davies is a Senior Economist in the Investment Climate unit of the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Global Practice, working on firm dynamics, productivity and innovation in a wide range of countries, currently mostly in Africa and Europe. Elwyn’s work focuses on constraints to firm growth and productivity as well as on questions related to structural and economic transformation, including the role of services in development. He holds a DPhil (PhD) degree from the University of Oxford.
