I am a Researcher in the Oakland office of Mathematica Policy Research. My research interests cover topics in the economics of education and in the micro-economics of development. My recent research is focused on empowerment impacts of education, the impacts of using information technology for education in the US and in developing countries, the impact of orphan-hood and HIV/AIDS on educational outcomes of orphans, the impacts of conflict on firms, the impact of mobile phones on agricultural prices, migration and rural labor markets, as well as the investment choices of households and individuals with respect to education.
