Carlos Acero is the Country Director at IPA Zambia. He joined IPA after serving over two years as an Overseas Development Institute Fellow with the Ministry of Finance in Djibouti, where he worked as a technical adviser in aid coordination. Prior to that, Carlos worked for almost seven years in Chile, first as a Junior Professional Officer at UNDP managing projects and providing technical advice in labor, education and social protection policies, and later as General Coordinator of an IADB-funded program aimed at improving the efficiency of the Chilean National Employment Service. He holds a BSc in Physics and a BA in Economics from the University of Barcelona, and a MPP from Oxford University.
