Anne Karing is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research is in development and behavioral economics. Her current work studies how social signaling can influence decision-making in the presence of externalities in Kenya and Sierra Leone. Prior to Berkeley, she worked with Innovations for Poverty Action and the Centre for the Study of African Economies in Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Uganda. Anne holds a B.A. and M.Phil. in Economics from the University of Oxford.
