Allen Blackman is Principal Economic Advisor in the Climate and Sustainable Development sector at IDB. An environmental economist, his research focuses on three broad areas: urban environmental issues, agricultural supply chains, and land use and land cover change. He serves as Associate Editor of Environment and Development Economics and the Latin American Economic Review. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics are from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science is from the University of Pennsylvania.
