To support the Department of Education (DepEd) in institutionalizing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities for its programs and policies, IPA Philippines partnered with the Policy Research and Development Division (PRD) to conduct a virtual M&E Capacity Building (CapB) Program from February 2 until March 12. The M&E CapB Program aims to build the capacities of the DepEd M&E personnel and program owners in establishing their respective M&E plans. The DepEd PRD led Session 1 on Importance of M&E in Basic Education while IPA led the sessions on Introduction to M&E, Introduction to Theory of Change, Critical Role of Assumptions, and Identifying Indicators. More than 60 participants from the DepEd regional and school division offices across all 17 regions completed the program. Nassreena Sampaco-Baddiri (IPA Philippines Country Director), Rene Marlon Panti (Senior Research Associate), and Karisha Anne Cruz (Policy Associate) spoke at the event.
