On April 14, Cynthia Bosumtwi-Sam, Acting Executive Secretary of the Ghana Ministry of Education’s National Inspectorate Board, Bridget Konadu Gyamfi, Senior Policy Manager at IPA Ghana, Bethany Park, Senior Policy Manager at IPA, and Sharon Wolf, Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, will lead a pre-conference workshop at the Comparative & International Education Society (CIES) annual conference in San Francisco. The workshop, titled “Co-creating evidence in education: Fostering cooperation between educators, researchers, and policymakers to create rigorous education research”, will provide participants with theoretical frameworks and practical tools for creating rigorous, policy-relevant education research.

IPA will also present on two panels at the conference. In the first panel, presenters will discuss cost-effectiveness analysis for sustainable education policy from the perspective of academia, implementation, funding, and analysis. The second panel will present researchers’ and policymakers’ experiences in helping to deliver on the promise of rigorous research for improved education policy.
