The latest study in partnership with GiveDirectly compared groups who received a one-time lump sum versus long-term monthly payments. Results so far have been largely positive, particularly for the "lump sum" group. The "universal" aspect of providing cash transfers to every adult in the community boosted impact without resulting in inflation.
