Youssaou Koanda is a Research Associate at IPA Zambia. He is currently working on a financial inclusion project. Along with NatSave and researchers from Trinity College Dublin, Swarthmore College, and the World Bank, IPA is a stakeholder of the project, which aims to identify behavioral barriers that lead to low engagement with formal financial services and test interventions to overcome those barriers. Youssaou is leading the field work of the research project. Youssaou holds a BA, an MSc in Economics from University Ouaga II and an MSc in Public Policy from University Toulouse I, Capitole. He is pursuing a PhD in Economics. Before joining IPA, he worked as temporary Lecturer and Research Associate on several projects at University Ouaga II.
