Prior to IPA, Tara served as an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer in Seattle and a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon. She has extensive experience developing programs for displaced persons, women, and youth on English literacy, women's empowerment, and health topics. She is particularly interested in promoting development projects in sub-Saharan Africa. Tara holds a BA in International Political Economy and a MA in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University in New York.
