Shahid holds a Masters degree in Public Policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, where he focused on social development in South Asia. His thesis, which explored investment options for improving sanitation in flood prone areas, was used as part of the technical assistance provided by The World Bank to the Govt of Bangladesh. He also brings with him substantial experience from the non-profit sector in the United States.
At Teach for America, Shahid was responsible for developing the organization's long term growth plan. Shahid holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. He joined CMF in October, 2010 as a Programme Head.
