Renard Sexton is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University, and will be joining Emory University as an assistant professor next year. He studies local level violence, and interventions to reduce violence, in developing countries.

He's also been a contributor to the Guardian, FiveThirtyEight, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the Independent, Foreign Policy, HBS and URD, writing mostly on international politics.

Before academia, Renard worked for the United Nations, NGOs and for journalistic publications, namely in Switzerland, Sierra Leone, Afghanistan and Ecuador.
