Natalie Bau is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Toronto, a CEPR research affiliate, and a CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar. Her research focuses on questions in development economics, and she is particularly interested in questions relating to education. In recent work, she studies how culture affects educational decision-making, how the design of educational markets affects students' learning, and how educational interventions can help close the gender gap in low income countries. She earned her PhD at Harvard University.
