Mariajose Silva-Vargas is a PhD Fellow at Maastricht Graduate School of Governance – School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University and UNU-MERIT. She uses behavioural experiments and randomised controlled trials to answer economic and policy questions in developing countries. Previously, she worked as a Research Associate for IPA in Uganda and for the World Bank in Tanzania. She holds an MA in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development from Ghent University and Humboldt University of Berlin and a BSc in Political Science from Roma Tre University.
