Marcus Holmlund is an Economist with Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) in the World Bank’s Research Group. He specializes in operational impact evaluation and policy design and experimentation in crime and violence, urban development, social development, and maternal and child health. His current work focuses on at-risk urban populations, local government accountability, and health systems strengthening. Prior to joining DIME, Marcus worked with NGOs in Ecuador, Colombia, and Paraguay, and taught snowboarding in the mountains. He holds an MA from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a BA from Oxford University.
