Gustavo Acosta joined IPA Peru in July of 2018. He works as a Research Associate on research projects aimed at reducing violence against women in Peru, in cooperation with the Ministry of Women of Peru. Previously, he served as a Research Associate at IPA Paraguay, where he worked on a project to assess the effectiveness of microfinance “plus” programs targeting women group-finance. He also has worked as a consultant for the National Institute of Statistics of Peru, as a Research Assistant at the Superintendency of Banking of Peru and as a teaching assistant at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). He holds a BA in economics from PUCP and did an advanced economics exchange program at the Australian National University (ANU).
