Alexandra Scacco is a Senior Research Fellow in the Institutions and Political Inequality unit at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University and previously worked as an Assistant Professor at New York University. Alex's other research investigates the impact of grassroots-level peace-building interventions, the human costs of partition, the politics of ethnic identity change and compares methods for asking sensitive questions in survey research. Alex has done fieldwork in Nigeria, South Sudan, Sudan and Uganda.
