Kanan works as a Senior Program Manager at IPA Ghana. In this role, she leads IPA Ghana’s provision of technical assistance for the scale-up of evidence-based education policy. She started her career as a corporate lawyer in India, before pivoting to a career in policy consulting where she worked with governments providing technical assistance in India, Mexico, and Ghana across different sectors. Before joining IPA, Kanan worked at the Ministry of Education, Ghana as an embedded technical advisor to senior management providing support on formulation, implementation, and coordination of policy, program, and legislative work. Kanan holds a Master's in Education Policy and Analysis from Harvard University
