J-PAL LAC, IPA Peru and San Pablo Catholic University co-organized last May 22 in Arequipa the workshop "Evidence-based public policy: Impact Evaluation."   The workshop's objective was to contribute to promote the use and generation of evidence on the impact of social programs in the Arequipa region, in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public policies to the benefit of the poorest populations.

The Rwanda Agriculture Board (RAB) and the District of Gicumbi hosted a launch event to celebrate the successful implementation of a pilot phase of the Water Tanks Loan Project in Nyankenke, a sector in Gicumbi district. IPA Rwanda and J-PAL Africa’s policy teams have been working together to support the RAB in its implementation of the pilot project. Speakers at the event included Gicumbi's mayor and RAB's Director of Animal Production.

IPA Event in Burkina Faso
On May 4, IPA Burkina Faso appeared before the Commission for Reforms of Burkina Faso. The Commission for Reforms is charged with proposing reforms in crucial areas such as electoral law, constitution modification, media and communication regulation, and public finance. They are in the process of composing a report to serve as a road map for the next government.
