On July 14 Nassreena Sampaco-Baddiri participated in an online knowledge sharing meeting organized by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) to share perspectives on doing research activities during the time of a pandemic, particularly on remote data collection. Baddiri presented IPA Philippines’ work in response to COVID-19 and how it shifted most of its data collection to phone surveys using computer-assisted telephone interviewing tools such as SurveyCTO. The meeting served as a venue to gather insights from different government agencies and research organizations and learn from their experiences as IPA continues to adjust our methods of conducting research during a pandemic. Other organizations invited to the meeting included the National Economic and Development Authority, Philippine Statistics Authority, Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute, and Social Weather Stations.
