On September 10-12, 2013, the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI), in cooperation with the Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), hosted the 2013 AFI Global Policy Forum (GPF) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event was attended by over 400 policymakers and practitioners, and brought together bank regulators from various countries to discuss a common set of commitments towards achieving financial inclusion. Aishwarya Ratan, Director of IPA's Financial Inclusion Program, was on a panel titled The Impact of Financial Inclusion on Poverty Alleviation and Inclusive Development.
