Expressions of Interest are due on September 15, 2017. The P&R Program is designed to support field experiments and related research in several broad areas:

MineduLAB has launched its Third Innovation Window, a call for proposals to identify low-cost innovations that can be evaluated using experimental methods and administrative data from the Ministry of Education of Peru (Minedu). Application materials should be submitted by May 31, 2017.

Oriana discussed IPA and J-PAL’s efforts to share evidence about programs that help small businesses grow, as well as partnerships with Peruvian government agencies to evaluate their small business programs and policies.

Political debates are good even when they’re bad. Even when candidates are cringe-worthy, they’re cringe-worthy in public view. And voters learn about all the candidates, not just new ones. In the United States, for example, Hillary Clinton has been center stage in political life for 24 years. Donald Trump is the very definition of “overexposed.” Still, the debates tell us new things about them — their positions, temperament, grace under pressure (or lack thereof), charisma and political skill.

IPA Peru, togehter with J-PAL Latin America and Carribean and San Pablo Catholic University co-organized a workshop titled "Evidence-based public policy: Impact Evaluation." The workshop's objective was to contribute to promote the use and generation of evidence on the impact of social programs in the Arequipa region of Peru, in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public policies to the benefit of the poorest populations.
