On September 12, IPA and the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia co-hosted a stakeholder workshop to share the final results of the impact evaluation of the Peri-Urban Rangeland Project (PURP) that ran between 2008 and 2013 and was funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation. IPA presented the final socioeconomic results of the PURP for Phase I and II and the Agricultural Research Service of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA ARS) presented the final land quality results of PURP.
IPA hosted a workshop in coordination with the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of Mongolia to share interim results of the Peri-Urban Rangeland study. Daniel Rubenson (Ryerson University) presented the findings to representatives from the Mongolian Ministry of Food and Agriculture, the Swiss Development Cooperation, USAID, and the US Embassy.
IPA researchers presented the design and results of two land rights studies in Mongolia at the Millennium Challenge Corporation headquarters in Washington, DC. Erica Field (Duke; J-PAL affiliate) presented on the Urban Property Rights Project and Daniel Rubenson (Ryerson University) presented on the Peri-Urban Rangeland Project.
