In 2018, IPA provided input to the Ministry of Health on the creation and implementation of its Knowledge Management and Transfer Unit. As part of this process, IPA Burkina Faso advised the Ministry about developing a monitoring and evaluation framework, leveraging existing evidence to improve their current policies, and developing the capacity for staff at different levels of the Ministry to understand the importance of evidence-based programs.

IPA has also convened multiple conferences for policy audiences in Burkina Faso, and regularly disseminates updates on ongoing research through its partnership with a local economic newspaper.

IPA was also consulted in 2015 by the National Reconciliation and Reforms Commission organized by the country’s transitional government. IPA and J-PAL made two propositions based on proven programs: deworming and teaching at the right level. Both of these recommendations appear in the commission’s final report.
