The debate over the impact of access to microcredit continues, with a group of practitioners entering the fray with the publication of "Measuring the Impact of Microfinance: Our Perspective."  The release of this document, which is signed by Acción International, FINCA, Grameen Foundation, Opportunity International, Unitus, and Women´s World Banking, accompanies an Op-ed in the Seattle Times by Brigit Helms, CEO of Unitus.

The India Development Blog has an interesting post on the piece, pointing out a few critical issues with the document's strategy.  Also check out their post on the full results from the Spandana Microcredit Impact Study in India, one of the studies at the center of the discussion.
