Reading the complex theories and equations in many academic papers often leaves me wondering, "Wow, who wrote this stuff?" It's easy to forget that academic economists don't eat math for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or run regressions on vacation just for fun. They are?
It is always nice to have the "Human" perspective on people that we often just see as "Academic". Mostly because it makes it easier to associate with these individuals, and motivate yourself to believe you could be one of those eventually. Or in other words a different way for inspiration.
