IPA Myanmar Country Representative Jihae Hong participated in a panel discussion (titled The Application of Quantitative Impact Evaluations to Support Decision Making in Private Sector Development Programming and Policy) at the University of Sydney on Monday, October 17, 2016. The panel discussion was part of a one-day Development Policy Workshop on "The Role of the Private Sector in Economic Development: Evidence, Policy and Practice," hosted by the University of Sydney's School of Economics. Topics covered in the workshop included access to finance and financial inclusion, agriculture, business environment and economic governance, and urbanization and employment. Other speakers at the event included IPA researchers Russell Toth (University of Sydney), Shyamal Chowdhury (University of Sydney), and Dean Yang (University of Michigan).
